A Great Scotty Cameron Putter: The Laguna 1.5
Scotty's new Studio Select is a complete re-design of his earlier Laguna-style putters—a sole-up overhaul that still retains the timeless character of a beloved design, but now comes standard with all the new bells and whistles. With its new face profile, Scotty added his signature design concepts like a high toe and a modern, triangular heel, not to mention the 2° draft sole for square alignment at address. He designed a thicker topline and rolled the edges smooth for visual appeal, as well. Small changes throughout make this familiar putter entirely new and exciting.
Even the flare neck—a characteristic of most Scotty Cameron .5 designs, which have ½ shaft of offset—has a new, technical four-way flat milling. In another subtle departure from some of his Laguna predecessors, Scotty designed the neck of the new to be milled from the topline with onset; it is then cold-bent by hand for the half-shaft of offset.
The has a milled sight line in the flange, the dancing Scotty Cameron red cord grip and a stepless shaft, providing a clean view of the ball at address. With its bold, Tour-inspired Cherry Dot graphics, translucent red lacquer paintfill, precision milled 303 stainless steel head and factory interchangeable weights—which can be changed by the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop—the is Scotty’s complete overhaul of a classic putter, the Laguna.
